Bartlett Lee Kassabaum has worked as a full time professional artist for over 30 years.  He is a self taught artist and enjoys working in many different mediums.  Bart works in watercolors, gouache, acrylics, graphite and color pencil, and mixed media.  He has over 70 of his original works in print and prints much of his own art using lightfast permanent inks.  In his gallery there is a large selection of framed art (over 200) for your home or business.  His work is mainly of rural landscapes, wildlife, and local scenes, but he also loves doing different projects as a change of pace.

The artist offers custom museum conservation framing in addition to commission work and special projects for companies and individuals.  These special projects include framed prints of his work with special or personalized added drawings (remarques) and wording that can be used as incentive awards or retirement and personal gifts.

A dedicated and accomplished artist, Bart Kassabaum’s work has been recognized for many achievements and awards.  He has three direct purchase awards and two commissions from the State of Illinois, had his art presented to three Illinois governors, & has won four Illinois Duck Stamp competitions for the state hunting stamp in 1980, 1983, 1985, and 1987.  Bart Kassabaum’s art has raised well over $100,000 for different charitable causes during his career.

Bart’s patriotic art, “No Free In Freedom”, featuring World War Two veterans Charles H. Kassabaum, his father, and pilot John C. Dove, will be featured in his design for the new country music CD, by Derik Schumacher of Nashville, in late September or early October, 2005.  The album “There’re Still P.O.W.S at the V.F.W.” will be Derik’s first.
